What’s a campfire without roasting marshmallows and enjoying s’mores? But to get your fellow campers even more excited about your time around the campfire, put a twist on classic camping!

Make any of these delicious campfire s’mores recipes the next time you go camping:

Choco-Raspberry S’mores Cookie

What do you need:

  • 8 marshmallows
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup small chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk powder
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for brushing)
  • 4 large rosemary sprigs (bottom 3/4 of leaves removed)

Mix the flour, milk powder and sugar in a bowl. Whisk together the canola oil and then the water to make the dough. Add the chocolate chips. Brush a rimmed griddle with olive oil, then pour 8 1/4 round cups of the batter onto it. Simmer for 1-2 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown. Flip, spread the jam on top and cook for a further 2 minutes.

While cookies are cooking, string marshmallows on rosemary sprigs and cook over campfire until melted and golden brown. When everything is ready, place a marshmallow between 2 cookies (jam side in). Remove the skewers and serve.

The S’mores Skillet

What do you need:

  • 1 graham cracker sleeve, cut into squares
  • 1 Hershey’s milk chocolate bar, cut into squares
  • 1 1/2 cups of marshmallows

Layer graham crackers, chocolate chunks, and marshmallows in a large cast-iron skillet. Place the pan on a rack over a campfire and cook for a few minutes or until the marshmallows are toasted and the chocolate pieces have melted. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Banana Stuffed S’mores

What do you need:

  • 1 large banana
  • Chocolate bar of your choice, broken into small pieces
  • 3-5 pieces of graham crackers, broken into small pieces
  • mini marshmallows

Peel a “strip” from the banana peel, scoop out the fruit and cut it into small pieces. Make sure to keep the rest of the shell intact. Combine banana, chocolate, graham crackers, chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows in bowl. Take out and stuff inside the shell. Heat over a fire grate until the chocolate has melted, about 1-2 minutes. Chill for a few minutes then serve!
