Corrugated tin is also not difficult to work with. • Flat lock

Both will be attached to the wood siding using clips with blind nails, yes, but flat locked tin roofs require skill because you have to form the pieces and be able to weld them all together between the metal pieces. These are usually very masterfully done and look like it. An impressive roofing job like this will look and last wonderfully for years to come.

Many people are surprised when it comes to the price of tin roofing. They are not cheap, because it is a labor-intensive type of work. However, if the look is what you want, it’s always worth the money you spend to get it.

Care and maintenance requires regular painting of the ceiling. If you do this, your roof will last a long time. Painting your tin roof with large coats of a good paint will ensure that any weather cannot damage the roof itself. One of the best things about this is that you can pretty much paint the ceiling any color you want. If you can get your paint store to tint exterior metal paint one color, your roof may be. The traditional color is black and red, but the sky is the limit when it comes to choice – you can literally have any color you want. Before you paint, you’ll want to make sure you scrub the ceiling very well with soap and water, so any residue is removed. Let it dry completely before following your paint’s directions, and make sure it’s designed for metal ceilings. Be sure to paint during the coolest part of the day, often cloudy days are better for this than a sunny or windy day.
