Easy ways to get rid of back acne

Dealing with just pimples and acne is like fighting a war with something you don’t know when it will come out of nowhere. Hence, it becomes especially difficult for teenagers. But the situation gets even worse when the annoying acne also starts to break out on the back. Hence, it is also sometimes referred to as bacne.

Bacne is caused by the same element that triggers facial acne. It includes overactive fatty organs, abundant dead skin cells, and spreading organisms that create pimples. Excess oil and dead skin is usually trapped within the follicle or pores, causing them to become blocked. This turns into a blackhead and then a pimple if the bacteria invades. Therefore, to help get rid of back acne, there are several powerful home solutions that can be helpful. Here are a few to get you started.

1. Oatmeal

Who doesn’t love oatmeal for a delicious breakfast? But did you know that they work as natural cleansers for your skin? Certainly not, right? Well, these little guys clean the pores on the skin and absorb excess oil, which helps to treat acne. Thus, it can also be used as an exfoliant to soothe inflamed skin.

Just add a tablespoon of oatmeal to a small amount of water to form a thick paste. Using circular motions, massage the affected area with the paste. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Or add a cup of oatmeal to your bathtub and soak in it for 30 minutes a day.

2 apple cider vinegar

Another great ingredient for treating back acne is apple cider vinegar. It can be easily found in most kitchens. This is known to work wonders when it comes to skin problems and Bacne is no exception. ACV, a miracle ingredient, helps balance the pH level of the skin and thus naturally prevents breakouts.

All you need to do is mix apple cider vinegar with water in a 1: 2 ratio in a spray bottle. Before going to bed, spray it on your back and leave it on for 20-25 minutes before washing it off. Store the bottle with the mixture in the fridge. Alternatively, you can also apply apple cider vinegar on your back with the help of a cotton ball. The choice is yours.

3. Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a plant native to Australia. For years it has been known for its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Therefore, today it is widely used for the treatment of skin infections in athletes. Whereas, in the case of back acne, when tea tree oil is applied to the skin, it helps to kill the bacteria that cause the disease. Also, at the same time, treat the sprouts evenly.

So, mix 2-3 drops of tea tree oil with a cup of water and with the help of a cotton ball apply the solution to the affected area. Let it dry and save the solution for later application. If possible, repeat this process 1-2 times a day and also before going to bed. Be careful not to use it undiluted. May cause irritation, redness, blisters, itching, and excessive dryness.

4. Baking soda

The amphoteric properties of baking soda make it act as both an acid and a base, helping to excellently balance the skin’s pH levels. Whereas, its mild antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties help heal skin irritation and swelling due to acne. Apart from them, it acts as the perfect exfoliator to remove dirt and dead skin and leave the skin smooth, clean and luminous.

But be careful not to use it for treatment more than twice a week. A high concentration of alkaline presence can be too harsh on the skin. To make the scrub, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with enough water to make a thick paste. Gently rub this paste on your back and the other affected area to soothe it. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with cold water.

Other notable ingredients also include aloe vera, witch hazel, lavender oil, lemon, and Epsom salt. So, from now on, start looking for ingredients in your kitchen because they can considerably change the way you see life. The above natural home remedies will help you get rid of back acne. However, if the problem persists, be sure to see a doctor. Stay safe, stay healthy!
