If you need to publish a new article, but can’t think of anything to write about, you may find these techniques helpful for breaking your writer’s block.

Let’s say your website is about painting houses.

Go to a search engine. Any search engine. Google, Yahoo, Bing or any search engine. Enter a general term like “House Paint”. If you want to be more specific, you can enter “carpentry paint” or “trim paint”.

Or if your website is about Dog Training, you can enter “dog training + sit”, “dog training + heal”, “dog training + lay down” or anything you can think of. If nothing comes to mind, just enter “Dog Training”.

You will get thousands of results. That should give you a good start. If you want even more ideas, try using the word search method. Take your search term and enter any letter before or after your search term. Review the entire alphabet if you wish.

For example, if you enter “tax deduction” and want more ideas, try “a tax deduction” or “a tax deduction.” Then go with “tax deduction b” or “tax deduction b”. You can continue doing this until you get to the letter z. This will generate thousands of ideas to write about.

Try this twist on the same method. Instead of using a search engine, use a “how to” website. You can refer to “how dot com” or “answers.yahoo dot com” or “electronic magazines dot com items.

Once you have a nice list of results on your computer, what can you do if you’re still stumped? This may sound a bit dodgy, but you can do it without any problem if you do it right.

Open one of the articles generated by your search. Let’s see if it gives you any ideas. If so, do your thing. Play away on your keyboard. If you still can’t think of anything to write, you can simply rewrite an article that you like.

BAIL. Do not copy and paste. If you do, the search engines will actually lower your ranking. You do not want that. Rather, you want to improve your search engine rankings.

To do that, you need to create “original” content. So if you read someone else’s work and rewrite it into your own words, search engines will see it as “original” and your ranking will improve.

An added benefit of rewriting others’ articles is that you get to see different writing styles. You can pick up tips and other tips and tricks by using another author’s article as a template for your work.

You may even develop your own favorite style(s) as a result of exposure to other people’s work.

By using these techniques, you should always be able to create new, original, quality content for your blog or website at any time of the day or night, 7 days a week. Whenever you need to create a new post.

Doing the searches as described above and rewriting someone else’s article every time you get stuck will instantly overcome your writer’s block. From now on, you should be able to produce an item anytime you want with no problem. Even if you don’t have good ideas when you sit down to work.
