You never know what curveballs life will bring you and you rarely know in advance when you will need a 24-hour locksmith. I know that I have gained a new appreciation for a particular locksmith 24 hours a day. My friend Wendy is a brave young woman. A few years ago he was swimming at the local water spot, something he liked to do frequently. One day Wendy and a couple of guys decided to jump off the bridge into the water. Wendy jumped a few times and she loved it. He got back up on the bridge and for some reason Wendy decided to dive in! Her head and back slammed into the river rocks and Wendy was paralyzed from the waist down.

Wendy will most likely be staying in her own apartment with her medical care. However, her doctor agreed that she could be alone for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon, so that she could have some sense of independence. Last week, while maneuvering her wheelchair from the living room to the kitchen, Wendy accidentally ran over her dog’s tail. The dog, Jaxson, was startled, jumped, jumped again, and accidentally knocked Wendy’s chair aside. Although Wendy had a life preserver that she wears, it got tangled up behind her and was unable to reach it. Jaxson felt a rescue was necessary and started to head towards the door and started barking and slapping his tail.

A neighbor ran up and tried to open the door, but found it locked. He tried to ask the apartment owner for help and also to get help from the locksmith around the clock as another option for rescue. The owner came in right away and realized that he did not have the extra key for the new lower lock that was installed just for Wendy’s door. Fortunately, the 24 hour locksmith arrived exactly as needed in just a few minutes. However, during those ten minutes, smoke began to rise from under Wendy’s door. And then Jaxson started moaning and walked out the door. When people called out Wendy’s name, she didn’t respond.

The 24-hour locksmith immediately opened the door, but before opening it fully, he asked the neighbor for two bath towels. The 24-hour locksmith placed one over her nose and mouth and took the other to cover Wendy’s face. When he entered, he discovered Jaxson straddling Wendy’s face; it was as if Jaxson understood that Wendy needed smoke protection. Jaxson moved and let the 24-hour locksmith cover Wendy’s face. A couple of minutes later, the emergency team was on the scene.

Fortunately, Wendy received no damage from the fall and no damage from the smoke. The smoke by the way was brought by a sandwich that burned on the stove without noticing it. A health worker had started to warm it up for Wendy.

Most people think that having to call a locksmith 24 hours a day is annoying; We are so grateful that there was one in the immediate area to come to Wendy’s rescue.
