family vacation at disney

The Walt Disney name has become synonymous with fun and excitement for decades. Mr. Disney had wanted to create a place where dreams could come true and with Fantasy Lands and Tomorrow Worlds he has achieved that in spectacular fashion. When you listen to Disney, you know you’re going to have the time of your life. Family vacations are what Disney calls, from the cruise line to the multinational parks; you will not regret the time you spend with your family.

disneyland

Located in Anaheim, California, this is the first Walt Disney company. Make sure you come to the park with a plan, otherwise you may miss a lot. The best thing to do is to set aside enough time to see and do everything… which can be days. Definitely get a pass for the multiple days you plan to visit, and as a bonus, you should probably take advantage of available vacation packages and stay on campus. You get additional discounts, coupons, etc. when you go this route. Oh, and don’t miss the California Adventure.

Disney World

This is the second park created by Disney, located in Orlando, Florida. There are four different theme parks and two water parks, including the Epoch Center on this campus. The beach is also accessible for fun in the sand and sun. Again, it’s suggested getting all-day passes and planning with a package in mind for additional savings.

Disney Complex: Paris, France

With all the attractions and thrills that the American counterparts offer, Paris has added Walt Disney Studio Park, Disney Village, which is an entertainment district, and Lake Disney. Plan, plan, plan. Maybe you think of a few highlights the family doesn’t want to miss, or you’ll spend weeks and weeks here to take in all there is to offer.

Tokyo Disney Resort

You can visit nearby Tokyo and Disney in one trip if you plan your time wisely. The park has the standard set of Disney attractions, plus the Ikspiari dining, shopping and entertainment district.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Outside the Park you can visit many places to offer a good piece of history. Inside the park are the attractions that make Disney famous, along with Inspiration Lake and an arboretum.

cruise ships

See Europe, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, or take a transatlantic cruise with Disney. There are many activities off the ship to enjoy as a family, as well as on board. Disney musicals and pools are just some of the things to enjoy while on your cruise.

The plan

First, don’t go over budget. Disney.com has plenty of packages and information available for each of the destinations so you can plan accordingly, with no surprises. Second, if you want to beat the crowds, go in the off-season. You can see more when the lines are shorter. Don’t forget your family’s needs. Schedule downtime for eating and sleeping so kids don’t get overstimulated. Enjoy getting to the park earlier when you stay at a Disney-managed hotel. Children’s camps and childcare are available at many of these hotels, so if adults want to get away on their own, they have the opportunity to do so. The guides are great, and don’t forget to budget for souvenirs.

Pack up your troubles, head to the Disney hills and have fun! Mickey and his friends are ready and waiting!
