This is the second installment in our PUBG Mobile Survival Guide series. Last week, we shared with you some tips and tricks for surviving the violent opening moments of the game. This week, it’s everyone’s favorite sweaty nightmare: welcome back to Driver’s Ed, everyone. Let’s go over some of the rules of Battle Royale Road.

Find the right car

PUBG Mobile is familiar with vehicles, but most are abandoned and too damaged to drive. Learn the visual profiles of drivable vehicles so you don’t waste time.

Certain vehicles lend themselves to certain situations. Motorcycles and dune buggies may offer good speed and handling, but leave the rider and passengers more exposed to enemy fire. More armored vehicles like the VW Bus and Jeep keep those inside safer, but they could be more dangerous in… other ways.

Hands at 10 and 2

Driving in PUBG is easy to learn, but like real driving, it’s hard to master. The handling of the vehicles can differ a lot between the types, so be careful while driving. Bottom line: not all cars are the same.

PUBG employs a physics engine that can make your car react realistically on uneven and unstable terrain, so be careful – you’ll end up flying. If you’re not good with potholes, stay between the lines and stay on the road for a (generally) smoother ride. Try tapping the arrow buttons while driving to make smaller, more precise adjustments to the direction of your car. Need to do a quick 180? Give him the ole lead thumb.

deer in the headlights

Usually, your best instincts would tell you to avoid driving directly into someone. Not so in PUBG – hitting another player with your vehicle will result in a quick and easy kill.
