Reacting to chemical additives: hypnosis to treat allergies to environmental toxins

Allergies and Immune System Disorders: Part 2

The first article in this four-part series describes the vast

variety of immune system diseases that are a growing pandemic

in our current society. He also describes three possible causes

for this pandemic within our civilization. Within these next

articles each cause will be explored in depth, and strategies

of treatment using modern hypnotherapy techniques will be

described. This article will describe the way our bodies

we often overreact to chemicals in our environment and in our

foods and how hypnosis can be used to change these reactions.

There is no doubt that our bodies are assaulted every

day with a wide variety of chemicals that have not existed in

all for the last million years of our evolution as a species.

Chemical pesticides, fertilizers, genetically modified DNA,

antibiotics and hormones given to industrially raised animals

They are present in almost all the foods we eat. Also,

processed foods contain toxic additives such as refined

sugar, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives.

As much as we try to eat organic, it is very difficult to protect it.

completely against these additives. Even the way we

processing and storing food introduces toxic chemicals and alters

vitamins and proteins in food. Fry in hot oil and

use of trans fatty acids in processed foods such as margarine are

just a couple of examples of this. Also, the air

we breathe and the water we drink is contaminated with

countless chemical agents. Apart from human activity,

the natural world is full of molds, fungi, bacteria,

and other substances that have toxic properties. certainly

We recommend that we do our best to remove these items

of our lives. But often our body’s reaction to these

chemicals is grossly disproportionate to the actual dangers that

represent. When this happens, doctors would say that we are

“allergic” to these substances. These allergic reactions can

incapacitate us with much greater efficiency than these

the chemicals alone could do in small doses to

that we are exposed

An obvious example is a bee sting. While a bee sting

venom is a serious toxin, fatal to anyone of sufficient size

dose, most of us experience a sting as a brief, yet painful,

nuisance. But for some people, this bite is death.

sentence without radical medical intervention. the immune

the system goes into full battle mode against this perceived

threat, which can cause death by suffocation in a few

minutes in a response called “anaphylactic shock. much

to a lesser extent, our immune system can cause ugly symptoms in

response to mild toxins such as the smell of gasoline, dust,

molds, animal dander, and the proteins in foods like corn

and wheat. I myself once reacted very strongly to all

aforementioned toxins in a debilitating condition called

“environmental sensitivity”, a condition that led to

frequent episodes of chronic fatigue, as well as sinusitis

congestion, headaches and asthma.

So how do hypnotic techniques help us combat these

terms? First, we must understand that the source of

these reactions are within the subconscious mind. It is not

the same chemicals that are doing this to us. Is he

immune system response that is the problem. After all (I

used to complain to myself) many people can live in mold

houses or smell gasoline without being affected in any way.

Once this is accepted, we can see that hypnosis, the main

strategy for accessing subconscious programming, MUST be a

part of any long-term solution for this condition. Tea

alternative is the suppression of symptoms with drugs. Must

convince the subconscious mind of the client in hypnosis that this

particular toxin is simply not a threat to the body in the

small doses that the body is experiencing. We do this for

the construction of positive associations in the subconscious memory to the

smell or taste of these substances, because it is the taste

and the smell of these things, even subconsciously perceived,

that triggers these reactions.

Let me illustrate this with an example. a client was

experience an unexpectedly severe asthmatic reaction to

smell of new carpet in your house, a carpet that was outside

Gassing of industrial solvents, including formaldehyde. in a

hypnotic state I made him access the peculiar smell with his

hypnotically enhanced imagination, a process known as

“olfactory hallucinations”. This process must be accompanied

by guarantees that the client’s body will not react to this

smell in any way. Otherwise, this hallucination has been

known to trigger an allergic response in the hypnotized

theme. We were unable to find any negative memories associated

with this smell Apparently, the body alone, understandably,

found it toxic. I then spoke to his subconscious mind. said

that this smell was quite safe, that from now on this

The smell would always remind him of the beauty and pleasure of

his beautiful new house, of which he was very proud, and the

loving new wife who shared that home with him. I built

these joyous feelings as he continued to follow my instructions to

breathe the smell of new carpets, which is now, I

suggested, the smell of happiness and romance and a safe

home. In one session, his allergic reaction disappeared.

Another client who loved cats was found to be allergic to them,

with strong nasal congestion, burning and sneezing. Us

discovered in a trance that his subconscious mind associated

the smell of cat, a smell she was not aware of,

with traumatic events from his childhood, connected to a

critical mother, in a house with cats. First, we use

olfactory hallucination to follow this smell back to what

was “… your nose remembers this smell you have

forgotten.” After rescuing his inner child from these

memories of abuse, found a new home in his imagination

with a very secure, loving and caring new mother – who

he had cats, of course. So I encouraged her to breathe into this

wonderful smell of cats in the context of this safety and

love.

“Now breathe into every part of your body this

wonderful smell of love. See how good it feels.” So I

anchored this new response to the daily customer experience

of cats in this way: “Now, whenever your subconscious mind

smell the wonderful aroma of cats, your body remembers it

wonderful new mother, and how much love and security she

offers.” After one session she found herself able to

eliminate these allergic responses simply by remembering

call this vision to your inner mother whenever you felt

their symptoms begin.

Usually one session with a receptive subject is enough to

effectively treat a specific allergen, especially if

the client is willing to practice feeling these new feelings

and recalling these new memories on their own. (Poor me,

Patients with mental disorders or organic brain diseases do

poor subjects for this type of work.) Multiple sessions are

of course required for a large number of allergies. for food

allergies we can follow the taste, hypnotically induced and

magnified into a “gustatory hallucination” at the moment when

this taste brought with it something unpleasant. While the

conscious mind has no recollection of these “triggers”

events”, the subconscious mind can easily remember them in a

good theme. This process often requires the transformation

of memories through the rescue and nurturing of the interior

child to find a solution.
