Best Order to Watch Marvel

Order to Watch Marvel

With over 40 movies and TV shows to binge and more on the way, it can feel impossible to know where to start when trying to catch up on Marvel’s ever-expanding Cinematic Universe. Luckily, we’re here to help. Whether you’re an established fan who needs to rewatch everything in order or a newcomer who just wants to jump on the bandwagon, our Best Order to Watch Marvel chart will give you a definitive guide to watching the MCU in the right chronological order. The list includes everything that’s officially canon in the MCU so far, including the upcoming 2023 release of The Avengers: Endgame and Marvel’s latest Disney+ series, Echo.

While many of the MCU movies take place in a particular time period, some have different timelines that affect how events play out. For example, some films are set in the past while others use flashbacks to tell their story. Some even feature time travel shenanigans that can throw things off a bit. To make it easy, we’ve broken down the MCU chronologically and by release date so you can watch them in a way that makes sense.

To start, we recommend that you begin with Iron Man and RDJ’s world-making turn as Tony Stark. Then move on to Captain America: The First Avenger, which takes place during World War II. Finally, you’ll want to see the saga of Steve Rogers as he tries to become a hero and tries to rescue his friend Bucky (Sebastian Stan). This film sets the stage for the rest of the MCU films and lays the foundation for the current heroes we see in Avengers: Endgame.

Best Order to Watch Marvel

The next movie in our chronological MCU Where to find Watch order is Spider-Man: Homecoming, which picks up after the events of Civil War. From there, we suggest you move on to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which features a fun team-up between Chris Evans’s Cap and Zoe Saldana’s Princess Daisy. From there, you can continue in our release order or switch over to our Chronological MCU Order to catch up on Thor: Ragnarok and a much-jokier Loki.

We’ve also included the first two Netflix Defenders Saga TV shows in our chronology, as they are important to the MCU and fit in with the overall storyline. After that, we’ve tucked in the Disney+ series, WandaVision, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, She-Hulk, and more. We hope you find our Best Order to Watch Marvel helpful and that it makes your binge-watching a lot easier!
