The Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide eBook Review – Too Good to Be True?

To Be Trained Disney Cast Member Created Tea Disney World Ultimate Savings Guide to help families save money at Walt Disney World. She also wanted to give you tips and techniques to maximize your time and get the most out of your Orlando vacation.

We’ve all seen these ebooks all over the web that claim to have secrets no one else knows about and promise you the world. I myself have wasted my money on some of these in the past.

However, I was very interested to see if you could really save money at Disney World as she claims. Considering I live an hour’s drive from Disney and have a 2-year-old son, I figured I’d soon need to know these secrets for years to come.

With that said, I purchased the e-book and downloaded it from the download page.

When I opened the e-book I will say my initial response was disappointment at the length of the book, 140 pages (40 pages of which are reader comments giving tips and websites, forms, more tips, etc.). Some people may like long e-books, but I don’t.

I like that they get right to the point, skipping all the fluff. I also don’t like having to read on the computer screen for hours on end.

However, the more I read the book, the more satisfied I felt. I came across a lot of tips and ideas that I wasn’t aware of.

POSITIVE

The ebook is very comprehensive and gives you information on how to save money on accommodation, meals, tickets and souvenirs.

It even gives you information on nearby hospitals and provides forms to help you keep track of reservations, confirmations, and other important information for your trip.

The guide begins by discussing ways to save money on accommodation. This includes staying at one of the Disney resorts, nearby hotels, or vacation properties.

Accommodation is likely to be one of the biggest expenses of the trip. The author does a good job of explaining the different hosting options and how to find the best deal.

It even goes into detail by providing tables with the different rates according to the different seasons (high season, low season, holiday season, etc.)

One of the strategies she explains in this section could save you hundreds if you choose one of the more expensive Disney resorts. It involves a bit of work and some risk, but it seems worth the effort.

I was also able to see how money could be saved by using another of the tips she provided in the guide. She explains how to find a vacation rental property and the pros and cons of staying in a vacation rental compared to staying in a hotel.

The author then discusses the different ways to save money on your tickets. Without a doubt, one of the best ways to save money on Disney 1 or 2 day tickets is to attend timeshare presentations.

But most people don’t want to spend their precious vacation time fighting high-pressure salespeople for 2 or 3 hours.

The author does a good job of explaining the other ways to save money on tickets. But don’t expect to find free or even $10 Disney tickets anywhere without attending a timeshare presentation.

You can save the most by using the author’s techniques on multi-day tickets with additional options like Park Hopper (ability to go to multiple Disney parks with one ticket) and No Expiration option.

Although the author does a good job of providing a lot of useful information, there are a few things that I think would make the guide better.

NEGATIVES

I think that the presentation of the information could be improved and that it should be shortened.

I have already expressed my disdain for long e-books.

Maybe it’s my short attention span, but I thought the book was too long and boring in places.

Also throughout the eBook are areas of large blocks of text. Breaking this large block down into paragraphs would have made the information easier to read on screen and easier to scan when reviewing specific information.

VERDICT

Overall, I’d say the Disney Secrets guide is well worth the money. You might be able to find some of the tips on your own by scouring the web for hours on end in forums, subscribing to newsletters, and other time-consuming methods.

You certainly can, and you can find ways to save. However, I would recommend investing in the guide and using it to start planning your trip. The guide will certainly pay for itself with the information it contains.

After all, time is money and children are ready to visit the happiest place in the world.
